I had to go to about 3 different doctors before one could figure out what was causing my wrist pain. I actually had one doctor tell me to just suck it up and don't use my hands. Luckily the last guy I went to go see thinks my posture was causing excess strain on my wrists. I've been sitting up straighter and trying not to spend too much time hunched over. It seems to be helping so far :)Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09870435785776540136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1683410278809912462.post-53047994745609019532014-03-12T21:29:11.449-07:002014-03-12T21:29:11.449-07:00You should definitely give it a try! I'm quite convinced anyone can learn, and it is a great way for us vintage gals to get vintage sweaters in our exact size and colour choice :)Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09870435785776540136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1683410278809912462.post-74563000730972502242014-03-12T21:27:14.753-07:002014-03-12T21:27:14.753-07:00Choosing a pattern is always the hardest part. I've always thought it neat that there are so many old patterns that wouldn't look dated or out of place today. I'm glad you can knit again - how strange that it was linked to posture!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07671918386628691376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1683410278809912462.post-90023805466043230012014-03-12T10:04:32.386-07:002014-03-12T10:04:32.386-07:00I so want to learn to knit! Actually funny story, when I was about 12 years old I bought knitting needles and got books from the library and was going to teach myself to knit. However my older sister borrowed my needles to use as a prop in a play she was doing and I never got them back and forgot all about knitting for years! Now I want to learn terribly, mostly because I could make myself such lovely vintage items as these! Those sweaters are GORGEOUS!Katie Amanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13773303880353879277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1683410278809912462.post-52089508462807671252014-03-12T06:14:30.132-07:002014-03-12T06:14:30.132-07:00Great book to flick through, I like the cabled swe...Great book to flick through, I like the cabled sweater and the skirt and petticoat. The steering a ship jacket is fantastic too. I love knitting from vintage patterns, I find it hard to choose between all the fabulous ones. Glad you have found a way to get back to knitting.Kate-Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15664293299445754159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1683410278809912462.post-68873547489283101372014-03-12T03:05:17.565-07:002014-03-12T03:05:17.565-07:00That's marvelous news!!! I really hope that adjusting your posture is all it takes to ensure you can keep on doing a craft that you adore so very much.

Love these Edwardian sweaters (and scarf) - the hampestead is my very favourite. You could wear that today and most people would never know it was 106 year old design. If that doesn't define timeless style, I don't know what does.

♥ Jessica Witchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.com
