Marcel Waves

I have finally posted another YouTube video!

While I like my new webcam, I think the clarity is a little too good. I had to re-film this video after a technical glitch, and re-waving my hair caused a fair number of fly-aways. Note to self: buy more pomade! Nevertheless, I think it turned out pretty good in the end. Let me know if you have any suggestions/requests for more videos.

That's All.

  1. Great tutorial! I like the look of long marcel waved hair. Especially with the Mary Pickford ringlets!

  2. Terrific tutorial, dear gal! Rarely sporting pre-1940s fashions, I've never attempted to do Marcel waves before. One never knows when the chance to do so might arise though, so I'll definitely be bookmarking this handy how-to. Thanks so much for posting it!

  3. Great tutorial. Is their a way to pin waves while the hair cools? Just curious as that usually seems to be recommended with curling irons.

    1. I suppose you could use duckbill clips to clip the sections. Just holding it in place until it was cool to the touch worked for me though. My waves lasted well into the next day.
