Peacocks and Hugs (1917)


A peacock inspired costume and a Chaplin-Fairbanks hug. Just because both are awesome.

    They seriously are! Her one shoulder costume seems strikingly brazen for the era, especially partnered with harem pants and relatively low cut neckline.

      Yes, it really is. I would love to know if she just wore it for the photoshoot or if it was a costume for a motion picture (there was no explanation in the magazine one way or the other).
